I love SUMMER ……..

Posted on Saturday 21 June 2008

I can finally feel the SUMMER, it’s here …it’s here !
Even a single cloud can’t be spotted on the sky …………… =)

Macau one and only place to shop and hang out …..

Anyway,
went shopping with Jien yesterday and today since we have the same offday.
Didn’t buy anything special coz we need to save some money for our HK trip next week (hopefully it’s on, if nothing bad happened to either one of us, such as fall sick, shift changes, got taufan, hk kena flood…etc, choii..touchwood).

YUP YUP - i’m going to Hong Kong for a shopping spree next week…muahahahhahaaa….

I went and have lunch at this “Wantan Mee” shop yesterday and it’s the BEST WANTAN that i had ever taste in my whole life. I dun really like wantan actually, but i can taste that it’s very yummy - which is the amazing part. Jien told me that the real wantan will have prawn inside, so he said the wantan we taste yesterday it’s the original REAL wantan, unlike the wantan in KL coz only meat can be found inside.

I think i gained weight already from this photo…Did i ?

My wantan mee.

Look at the wantan, got prawn inside one ….. yum yumm.

Jien’s Sui Gao’ Mee taste good too …………..

Good things happen in life sometimes.

Jien bought me a PSP last week …… MUAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA.
After so many yearsss dreaming of touching a psp, i’ve finally own one myself ……………………………………………!

YAyYyy !!!!!
YayyyyyYYYyyYYy !!!!

Berposing posing at home with my new psp.

PSP and Nintendo is like so normal here. Everyone has BOTH of them, from small lil primary school kids to a 30++ years old aunty@mummy- uHHhh - @@ ! It’s a bit weird to see an aunty (mum) playing with her nintendo DSL while her son, is playing a psp, then both of them walk in to the shop and download games together gether…… I dun think i’ve seen such thing in malaysia. Girls like me only has one after so many years ….. feel abit outdate.

For those who promise to buy one for me, you guys can change the target to a nintendo DSL or nintendo wii already, i dun mind if you’re willing to get me a PS3 also.

I’ve finally officially decided to use Ellone ONLY as my common name. I dunno why, i have been confusing myself and people around me with Carol and Ellone. I use Ellone on the internet, Carol in Real Life and sometimes, both at the same time. Dun ask me why and how it happen coz i am just Ellone Carol or Carol Ellone.

Until recently i finally fed up of having the same name with many many people (except with my bestie Heng, who call herself Carol, same eng name with me 2^^). There is another Carol in my department and to make people more confusing, another girl is using the same surname with me in the same department as well. My surname is actually T, so there is a T and Carol in the same department with me, while i am using Carol T as my name …..err….super confusing right ?

So i am going to change it to Ellone tomorrow.
Worst of all, i will need to change a new staff card that will cost me about RM 70 …..

( -________________-”.)

Better not make people and myself confuse next time, i shall use only ONE NAME from today onwards …….

Call me Ellone next time, remember tau !! =P

Home Sweet Home …..

Posted on Friday 13 June 2008

Before coming to Macau, finding a place to stay is the thing I worry the most.
I had been staying at my own comfy house for the past and had never rented a room outside. I knew nothing about the procedures of renting, and even how it feels to stay with your friends, or people that you hardly know.

When I first came here, I thought there are some bulletin board where you can stick some notice about house/room renting with a contact number there, like how we can get at Setapak but I was wrong. I also thought I can just find a room easily for myself but then, I was wrong again. In Macau, we must find a middle person (we call them agent), to help us find a house to rent, before sharing / renting it to other people.

Finding houses here are not hard because you will see property agency almost everywhere you go. These agency earn quite a lot too. Imagine that you will need to pay them an extra monthly rental for their service every time a person need to find a house (If it‘s deal already). Example : If the monthly rental of the house is HKD5000. Then you will need to pay them HKD5000 for their service (exclude your first month rental and two month deposit to the house owner). I was so shocked about the cost that I will need to spend on at first, that’s why you hardly see me blogging about how excited am I to be in Macau in my previous posts. Lucky for me because I am coming here with Jien or else I will have to rent a whole house by myself. Imagine the cost that I will have to bear. If it’s a  HK5000 house per month, that means I will have to pay HK20 000 before moving in (around RM 8500) !!

Happy Ellone on the colorful sofa ….

Anyway, back to the topic that I wanted to post … I am very very very happy now because I had found the most gorgeous house in Macau …MUAHAHHAHA…Just in my oppinion only in fact. ha-ha. I had seen a few houses but I am sooooo in love with THIS house. It’s like love at first sight…. Lalalallalalaa. I took some photos to let you guys see how houses in Macau looked like. Houses here are not very big esp mine, it has only one bathroom and two bedroom.

The main dining room …..the place that i steal ppl’s connection to online everynite..ahhaha.

My mini Kitchen …

Some of the decorations in the cupboard.

Light at the dining room. Can you see the golden fish design ?

Dining Table. I bought the colorful plastic thingy to put under your food. hahaha.

See - got tortoise inside. Reminds me of my lil pet, John ….
I miss my tortoise at home =(

Toilet , winnie the pooh theme…

I guess the owner before this must be a winnie fans…

More winnie theme stickers on wall. So cute rite ?

I even bought a set of winnie blanket, pillow casing..etc to match the house.

More decorations, very special dsign to me.

Incase you’re wondering, i didn’t bought all the furniture. Houses in Macau are all fully furnished with air-cond..etc. So these are the stuff from the owner…Not bad rite ????

The best thing i love about the house is :-

I can online, watch tv and EAT in a very near distance, at the same time……hohoho.
Yipeee…That’s why i think i will be gaining alot of weight soon ….sobx.

Macau Garden.

Posted on Thursday 12 June 2008

Living in a small island like Macau, surrounded by tall buildings almost every where you go, is really hard when you need to find a place for a nice evening walk. There’re nothing such as flying kites, cycling, or football-ing here because I can‘t really find a field here, not even a small one. I guess Macau is too small already, and lands here are not cheap, so it’s extremely expensive for them to build a field or garden maybe.

Therefore, most of the people here hang out around the door of their apartments for some small gathering in the evening. So it’s common if you see people reading newspaper on the street, down stair of their apartment. For a typical Malaysian like me, it is weird coz I can’t figure why they choose to read the paper downstair, but not at home ? Then I realize about the culture here ……People spend their evening time around their apartments (downstair) coz they don’t really have other place to hang out at all. For your information, almost all of the apartments here are those shop-apartment type. That means shops are at downstair, apartments are at upstair type of design. So when you go downstair it’s a town already. No such thing as TAMAN TAMAN or just a plain HOUSING area.

Now I realized how lucky I am being a Malaysian because I can spend my time walking or jogging around the park at Taman Tun Razak in the evening whenever I want. (there’s a playground, big lake and garden at TTR for people to jog, walk, and hang outs)

After so many days of staying at TAIPA (the place I live in Macau), surprisingly i found one mini garden today !!!! Muahahahahah. But the thing is, it does looked very very very different for what we have in Malaysia. At first, i even thought it’s a temple for praying ………. Imagine how difference is that………..

Believe it anot, it’s a garden behind those walls.

Took some photos of it and think you can compare to any field that you find near house…hahaha.

See - got sign board also…

A walk in the garden …..

Alot of lotus =)

Playground for kids, not very big but still nice for hang outs.

Quite nice right ? I love the lotus lake, very nice - at least Macau still got a place to walk in the evening. Next time i can lepak whenever i’m off for the day.

If you still don’t get wat i meant “surrounded by tall buildings almost every where you go” at my first paragraph, then maybe you can check out the last photo below ………..

Everyday is a rainy day …

Posted on Monday 9 June 2008

Super Heavy Rain at Macau and HK.

Macau has been raining for the past one week and it’s driving me crazy. =(
From the hotel I’m staying right now, I need to walk around 500m daily to get my company’s shutter bus.  I think is like the walking distance from my house in KL to Steven Corner Cheras. I have been walking sooo much and I bet I can walk from Pudu Jail to KLCC the next time I go back. (good thing also coz now petrol naik in Malaysia already…haha)

So can you imagine how tired am I esp when i have to walk under the rain…. Forget about umbrella because it doesn’t make any different even though I am using one. The wind is blowing hard , and it always come together with the rain, you’ll get all wet for sure even if you have a big umbrella. I’m planning to get a rain coat when I go shopping tomorrow - that is if the weather is good.

Camwhore at hotel room…

Just got the keys for my house today, going to moved my stuff in tomorrow, and moving in officially on Tues. Cant wait to blog about it because i like the house soooOOoOooo much. But the rental is high la, no choice also, coz every house in Macau is very expensive + small. I’m not sure when will I get an internet connection, so there won’t be any update for this few weeks.

I wish I have more time to read blogs and online.
I’m allowed to use the internet during lunch time but most of the time, the connection at my working place is abit tooOoo slow for blogs - I dunno why….

=(
Do update me more about the petrol + electrical issue in Malaysia ………
I’m just to lazy to read online newspaper nowadays. I heard it’s driving everyone crazy. Kancil Full Tank RM 60, now RM 84 ?????! (heard it from Carol) Everyone will be walking only when i’m back in KL. Scary…..

I miss the fastfood in msia =(

Posted on Sunday 1 June 2008

As I’ve mentioned in my previous post, food in Macau is very very expensive.
That is why, McDonald has become my best friend @ daily food since I‘ve came here (what to do, I dun have a choice) In Macau, the only fast food that you will see almost everywhere you go is McDonald. Seriously, it’s like within every 500m, you’ll see one BIG McDonald signboard. Unlike Malaysia, you’ll hardly see KFC around here. For the time being, only ONE KFC outlet can be found . (I think, coz I haven’t finish exploring Macau yet)……

McD signboard in chinese.

The interior of mcd. The staff actually have different uniform from different outlets….

I don’t understand why McD is so popular here. Maybe because a normal fried rice here that doesn’t taste good at all (exclude drinks summore) cost the same with a regular size set meal from mcd. Maybe that’s why the local here rather eat fast food ….. Anyway, the price is still more expensive compare to McD in Malaysia, now I understand why many people said that our McD is like so damn cheap.

I miss Malaysia McD a lot. The menu here is really different from what we have in Malaysia. First of all, they do not serve my all time favorite - chicken foldover here !! Instead of foldover, they have other things such as the Pork Burger …. =( I’m abit muslim, therefore I dislike pork, so it’s definitely a No No for me….

T_______________T  So kesian right ?!
I’m going to stay here for a few years, with their Mcdonals that do not serve any Chicken Foldover ….

Worst of all, they don’t even have my 2nd fav, which is the Banana Pie ………… !!
Mum told me that the price of Banana fruits are high here, could that be the reason of why they don’t have any Banana Pie here ?????

RED BEAN PIE ??!!

Sad enough, they had replaced my banana pie with their RED BEAN PIE…ewwww….it doesn’t taste very good to me. Maybe I’m not used to it yet …I dunno, I just don’t like it. But Jien said it’s nice …ewwww………….obviously it’s because he’s crazy over red-beans ….

I want my banana pie !!!!
T_______________T
!!!! Sobbing hard and loud, again ….****

Mcd Wingz ..

Strawberry Sundae, dis one also not bad…..

The only yummy food they have on their menu is their fried chicken set meal, they called it McD wings meal here… It taste better than the Ayam Goreng McD we have in Malaysia. At the same time, I had also try out their BBQ Chicken Burger. Taste like some kind of chicken chop in a very strong taste of BBQ sauce - so practically I don’t really like it.

My BBQ Chicken Burger …taste okay only….

New from Macau McD. Shogun Burger.
Egg and Chicken ……not bad.

Then today, I went and try out their new Shogun Burger (chicken + egg).
I think it’s better than the BBQ Chicken Burger. It taste quite the same the meat in McD Breakfast (Malaysia), except it’s a grilled chicken meat, covered with some Japanese Taste sauce.  I do like the packaging of the burger because it’s PINK. MUAHAHHAHAA.

pInk piNk pinK~

Well, we hardly get to see Malaysia fast food’s packaging in the color of pink right ?

As the conclusion, I only enjoy eating the chicken set from McD Macau. -________-
If you think I should have visit KFC for the fried chicken, then YOU ARE WRONG !
Because KFC in MACAU IS A DISASTER.

KFC Macau …… see the crispy wedges ? I tot we only eat that at Pizza Hut in Msia…..

They do not serve Cheezy Wedges …. I mean, how can a KFC meal be completed without the yummy cheezy wedges right ? Or even the Whipped Potato ?!!!! Their SPICY FRIED CHICKEN taste worst than the Original Fried Chicken. It doesn’t have the spicy taste at all, and the chickens don’t even smell good. Usually when we pass by KFC we can smell the strong KFC Chicken rite ? But KFC in Macao got no smell one …. =( Even their Zinger Burger have the different salad sauce in it and taste different already. They have quite a lot of rice set meal in their menu ……….very weird right ? For eg: They have chicken chop rice, some jap set rice…and a few more to name but i forgot already.

I miss KFC Malaysia ……………………………………………. Long Big Sighhhhhh* =(
Is like i have been missing Malaysia food, and even their FAST FOOD ……. really big swt.

I’m starting to work tomorrow, hope it helps me to balance back my mood and homesick feeling. Ohya, I’ve found a place to stay, and it’s reallyyyy fabulous !! (the only happy thing for me in Macau). Promise to post photos of the fab house after I’ve move in …..ehhehehehehe.

Life in Macau.

Posted on Wednesday 28 May 2008

Hotel Taipa, Macau. The place i stay.

Arloee people, I have arrived at Macau safely yesterday in the evening and lucky for me because I can actually blog from my Hotel’s lobby ! Muahahah. Seriously, I have sooOooOOoo much to write about and I really think i can start writing a book named “living in Macau” or something like that. The lifestyle here is so much different compared with us in Malaysia and I’m kinda stress out right now. =( A lot of time is needed for me to get used of the lifestyle here.

The money is different - (RM 1= MOP 2.3)
The weather is different -  (it’s windy all the time ….)
The language also quite different (they use many different terms eventhough they speak Cantonese)

My expression is always @@” ! every time the local is trying to communicate with me. I really can’t understand what they’re talking although I can understand Cantonese. I think it’s the same for them coz whenever I try to speak to them in English, Mandarin or even Cantonese, they couldn’t understand me too. WHY WHY WHY ?

The paling kesian thing that happens to me here is their FOOD IS SO DAMN EXPENSIVE. I ate a fried rice yesterday - that we can get for RM 5 in Malaysia for MOP 26 ! It’s equivalent to RM 11.30 for that stupid fried rice. It’s not even fried rice special, just some plain fried rice that I ate some hawker and that’s a standard price already, according to a friend of mine who lives here for 1 year plus. SO SAD I tell you and I’m starting to miss Malaysia Food badly ESP MAMAK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My stock of cup mees…sobx sobx.

Sobx sobx ….i want eat mamak. T_______T

I still have 4 days to go before starting to work, that means I still have a few days to eat outside. Food is going to be provided for me after I start working ….. Therefore, I am forced to buy cup mee … I don’t feel like paying so much money on the food but I don’t feel like losing weight either. Sigh - maybe eat 2 cup mee + an egg for dinner, then lunch eat outside lo.

T___________T

I went to the supermarket a while ago for some groceries shopping. When I  was at the cashier, preparing the my money to pay - the cashier looked at me and asked :-

did you bring your recycle bag today ?”

Me : @@!

Cashier : Today is 28th, the recycle day. You can purchase the recycle bag for MOP 1.80 if you want.

Me : nod nod*

MOP : 1.80 Recycle Bag.

I really don’t know what the heck is recycle day. All I know is the Indian family who pay before me, was given tons of plastic bags for their purchase. But anyway, it’s still good to know they have some recycle day to help the environment.

My hotel room … ^^

I have problems looking for rooms right now, hopefully things can be solve by this week so i’ll still be stayin in the hotel provided by my company for the time being. Anyone watch the national spelling bees at ESPN ? It’s showing on the ESPN here and I think it’s kinda interesting …… I wish my spelling is as good as one of them one day …..

Gotta go and rest more for tomorrow’s battle. =(
I miss my mum ………………

I am currently feeling damn nervous, and i don’t think i can sleep tonight.
So sorry to friends who actually asked me out for yamcha. I don’t really have things to do actually, but i just don’t feel like having a last gathering, so-called farewell yamcha session or whatever you called it. I have feelings that i am going to cry if i see any of my friends tonight and i don’t want that to happen for sure ….!! Have been crying alot today, because of some TVB dramas…swt!

There are many things that i feel like doing but time is not enough. I still havent been to the Kenko Fish Spa yet and i wanna try out the pancakes at mid valley badly ….. =( I guess i can only try them on the next time i come back. Sedih nya, isk isk !!

Anyway,
Thank You friends for all the clubbing/ship trip and free meals, everything ….
I should be back blogging once i get a wireless connection from my hotel or something.

Lima Hari Lagi ….

Posted on Thursday 22 May 2008

1,2,3,4,5 ….counting down 5 days, before the leaving the country … T.T
So sad, i don’t even really want to THINK about it.
It has been so many daysssSss since i last slept, without a dream or nightmares. I keep having sleepless nites maybe because i was too nervous already.

It was my FIRST time, leaving my family and staying alone IN ANOTHER COUNTRY for work, not holidays. I had never even rented a house, or stay outside with friends for the past 23years …NEVER. I guess this is going to be soOoo hard for me. No one is going to wash my clothes, clean my room, or cook for me anymore. I gotta do it all by myself …..scary. =(

This month, i have been to many places like all the highland highland area (refering to Genting and Cameron Highlands), and also lepak-ing around the shopping complexes in KL……. I had ate most of my fav local food too and i guess clubbing + a mini cruise trip is going to be the last things i’m going to do for the coming weekend.

So sad !!! =(

Anyway, some photos that i took during my bday celebration last week ……..

I love the PINK box coz it’s my fav color. ^^

See my ice-cream cake melting anot ?

Lala and me, obviously we’re at Chilis. =)

Although he always bully me, he still nice to me SUMTIMES.
He’s my cousin anyway..ehhe

My lovely “zi mui”.
Lala and cousing trying to move, but still kena capture in the photo. SWT.

The guy in middle is my zimui’ (sis) also. haha.

Dunno why my cousin look so serious …macam those taiko from some society.

A group pic ….love it !

Special thanx to all the wishes on blog, friendster and sms.
And also thanx my friends for the lovely present. I actually got two lazo diamonds from two different people this year, akakka…so nice!
Love you people, muacks.

* Just a short post as i can’t stand the heat in my bedroom ….it’s sooOooo hot and the air-cond is out of gas, not cold anymore. I need to go to my other room now …!! *

What will you do if someone start using your computer to watch movies,WITHOUT permission, in YOUR ROOM ?

A “relative” of mine has came and move in with me at my KL house 2 months ago. You see, i have 3 bedrooms which are belong to me. One is a bedroom where i shared with my mum. Another one is at the living room, that i sometimes sleep/lepak there when mum is not around etc….and lastly, a computer @ study room that i can only lock it while i’m inside the room.

One fine day, while i was enjoying my bday happily with my BBF, my mum called and said :-

Girl, do you know that koko is using your pc now to watch his DVD?”

Me : ” ……………… ”

I was toooo busy at that time so i can’t bother so much. Obviously, i wasn’t feeling very happy BECAUSE HE DIDN”T ASK MY MUM OR ME FOR THE GREEN LIGHT TO USE IT. I thought we’re supposed to ask permission before using someone’s stuff ?? I mean, even a 3 years old kid knows about this rite?

Fine, since i didnt SEE IT WITH MY OWN EYES, i decided to keep my mouth shout for the time being. Few days later, i was taking a nap, around 8pm plus. He thought i slept early that night and AGAIN, HE WENT INTO MY ROOM AND USE MY FREAKING COMPUTER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION AGAIN !!!

Then i was like, “ok, maybe he thought i was sleeping so he can’t ask permission to use my pc

I took a bath, make some noise at the living room, so that he is aware of my existency, then walked up to my room, and ask him, directly on his face ”what are u doing in my room ?”

HE stared at me for 3 sec, and told me “watch movies lor” (in a tone like my pc belongs to HIM), then continue staring at my mini lcd screen without feeling embarrass………..

URGHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHH !

You know what ? He never even bother to ask if i need to use the computer anot ??

And WHAT IS HE DOING IN MY, A GIRL’s ROOM…..MY FREAKING ROOM !!!!!!!
Macam tak ada privacy ler ………..

I need to tell him that i “NEED TO USE THE PC” only he leaves my baby pc alone ……….

SO YESTERDAY,

i knew i was going to sleep very very very early after my genting trip, i decided to put a broom, right at the door, obviously, to prevent ppl coming in (since i can’t lock the door from outside) …..  I even created PASSWORD for my pc before YESTERDAY to prevent him, from using it .

I mean, if i am him, i can seriously sense that Ellone is ’si beh not syok’ already with the password setup, and everything rite since it is soooooooooooooooooo obvious………

BUT …………….  HE IS RILI ^%&^@$&^*#@ TAK MALU lor ……….

I was out today, he even CALLED ME AND ASK FOR MY PASSWORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN HIM LAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot say “dun wan” because he is a close relative of mine ………..is like, sooo hard to say it out la ………although by logic, i should have just say “no, i dun like ppl touching my pc” to end all my misery……….

What i really tak syok is he always use my pc without any permission, and the way he react of  course ………Jien told me if i didn’t put any password on my pc this time, he won’t even bother to call to ask ……… which are true for sure. (T____T”)

Luckily i am flying next week, and i swear i will ask mami to take the pc back to Perak, so i don’t need to be angry again in the future. Sadly, i still have to tahan for one more week. SHITZ.

I wonder is they really learn moral in school last time ??
And he is a freaking 30+ years old GUY ……………………..URGHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tot older people knows moral better …………!!!~

URGHHHHHHHHHHH, ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, BENCINYA !
